Covid19 Homework! 23/3/2020 - 27/3/2020

Hi guys!
I hope you're all having a great time at home!
So, just in case you've run out of things to do, I'm posting some "homework" for you to complete this week and mail it to me by Friday 27th March 2020.

a. Make either a vlog or a collage of your everyday routine during the quarantine. It can be a video, a poster-collage of pictures with captions or a written diary entry of one of your days at home.

Some students from A1 have already completed this task and they have done great work.

b. Choose one your favourite recipes (eg. a banana cake) and send it to me in English. I will upload all the recipes on the blog and we all try cooking/baking some of them. To prove we have tried the recipes we have to send a picture of our cooked/baked meal!

That's all for this week.
Don't forget you have to have sent me your "A person I admire project" by next week.

Environment - Writing

Here you will find an outline and some questions to answer in your writing.

Topic: Planet Earth SOS!

Introduction:

What's going on in the world today? - Give a short description of the situation. Say what you are going to talk about in your writing (eg. the problems, the people who can change the situation, and why we should change)

Main Body:

Paragraph 1: What are some of the problems that our planet is facing today? Choose two or three problems to talk about - not every single thing we have analysed!

Paragraph 2: Who can help solve these problems and how? Why is it important to change this situation?

Conclusion:

Summarise your main points and end with a memorable remark.

Remember to use all the handouts that we have done in class and the brainstorming notes. Choose what you want to use in your writing. You can't include every single thing!!!!

Basic Speech Outline

Our last lesson was about the importance of speaking in public, in front of an audience.
Have a look at the presentation below - it's actually the one we saw in class - and make sure you have chosen and researched the that you will prepare a short speech for.

Don't write anything yet! Wait for my instructions!
