MY NEIGHBORHOOD

I live in Maroussi, Athens. My neighborhood has a lot of colorful blocks of flats. There are also churches, shops, shopping centers… Moreover, there are beautiful parks.

In Maroussi you can find a lot of schools, too. I have to mention that there is a grove called «Alsos Syggrou». It is like a small forest and my school is inside. Unfortunately, because of the cars, the air in Maroussi is polluted. However, my neighborhood is a good destination for having a walk or window-shopping.

                           ‘’My neighbourhood Pefki’’

Hello,

My name is Philia and I am 12 years old. Today I will describe my neighbourhood. I have lived in Pefki for about 5 years. Pefki is a northern suburb of Athens, Greece. It isn't a very big area but I think it has all the things that people need. Pefki has 4 Primary Schools, 2 Junior High schools and 2 senior High schools, lots of bakeries, patisseries, pharmacies, restaurants, a conservatory, a football stadium, a basketball stadium, dance schools, bookstores, cafes and other stores. I like my neighbourhood because it has many trees, it is quiet, clean and beautiful.

I  live in New Kifisia a beautiful city.

  My neighbourhood is near the local school. The houses are big and and the streets are a bit  wide. It has a lot of night clubs, greek restaurants and a church.

        There is a basketball stadium where you can play all day ! There is also a big park with a real aeroplane in it. It also has some places to play football and a bridge with a tiny river under it. In this river there used to live ducks but now they have died.

        You can't see New Kifisia in Greek films like Plaka . Because of that I will sent you a photo to know what to expect. See you !

You asked me to describe my neighbourhood, so here you are! First of all, my neighbourhood is Kolonos. It is near the centre of Athens. It has narrow streets and many parks, where you can cycle or play with your friends. There is also a historical monument, the Plato’s Academy inside one of these parks, but you can’t see something good, there are only ruins. Generally, there isn’t anything else for children in my neighbourhood except a basketball team called “Iason”. Also there are some Greek traditional restaurants and small churches.

Hi, my name is Konstantina Merkouri and I’m 12 years old. I’m from Greece and I live in Maroussi.My neighbourhood is beautiful. In my neighbourhood there are many trees but there are a lot of houses, too.

I’ve got a sister, a mum, a dad and a dog. My mum’s name is Julia. My sister’s name is Marianthi. My dad’s name is Thanasis and my dog’s name is Pisa.I go to the first grade of Anavrita Experimental High School. My favourite sport is fencing and basketball. In my free time I play with my dog, I play computer games and I go fencing.

My name is Nikiforos Asteriadis and I am 12.5 years old. I come from Evros, Thraki. I live in Neo Irakleio which is in the north suburbs of Athens, near Kifissia and Marousi. My family is quite small. I live with my dad, my mum and, fortunately, I have no brothers or sisters. I go to Anavrita High School, in the first grade. My favourite sport is fencing. It’s quite a tricky and unusual sport as you must touch your rival with the tip of your sword and you must not be touched. It’s a very difficult sport and because of this I like it. In my free time I prefer to make paper planes, watch television, read books and walk. Unfortunately I don’t have free time as I study for school all the time!

My name is Catherine Tsoutseou. I am 12 years old and I am from Greece. I live in Ekali. My neighbourhood is very nice, with lots of trees, but there are no shops and usually there are no people walking.
In my family we are 5 all together. My mum Julie, my dad Thanasis, my 2 brothers, Angel and Theo and me.
I go to the first grade of Anavryta High School. My favourite sport is volleyball.
In my free time I meet my friends or I play the keyboard. I like the keyboard, because I play songs and music that I like.

   My name is Ioannis Kaouris and I am eleven and a half years old. I am from Athens and I live in Vrilissia.

   My neighbourhood has basketball courts, where we meet with all my friends at the weekends and sometimes on weekdays. We have a few parks and a big central square with our church.

   I have a brother who is nine years old. His name is Erik. My father is a civil engineer and my mother is a dentist.

   My favourite sport is football, but I also enjoy playing basketball. I like playing these sports with my friends. We have a lot of fun with the competition.

   I go to Anavryta high school and I am in first grade. We are all new at this school and it is interesting to meet all the other students.

   In my free time, I enjoy playing playstation and spending time with my friends.

My name is Alexander, but my friends call me Alex. So I am Alex Doukoglou and I am twelve years old. I am from  Thessaloniki but I live in Athens Vrilissia. Vrilissia has a lot of trees and parks where children can play. It has a lot of houses and few apartment buildings.

My family has seven members: mum, dad, Dimitri, who is twenty seven years old, Maria who is twenty three years old, George who is twenty one years old, Philip who is six years old, and lastly me.  

I like to play football. I like it very much because I like playing together with my friends and thinking what to do. I think that I am good at it.

My school is the “Experimental High School of Anavrita” and I am in the first grade. My school is in a forest where people go running.

In my free time I like to play with my friends or my brother. If I can’t, I usually play on the computer or read comics.

I go to Anavrita Experimental High school (Junior) and I am in the first grade. My favourite sport is dance, I like it because I have being doing this since I was 4 years old and I want become a dancer when I grow up. In my free time I play computer games, I read books and magazines, I listen to music…

I have got three brothers and five sisters. My father and my mother are professors. I go to Anavryta Junior High School. My favourite sport is basketball because it is a team sport. In my free time I play many sports for example football and basketball. I also play chess with my brothers because I like it. I learn foreign languages, I listen to music, I play the violin and computer games. At school I am good at Maths and P.E. but I dislike computer lessons.

My neighbourhood  is near the centre of Athens, so it has little green but fortunately I am next to a square. Also, my neighbourhood is full of buildings. There aren't any squares that aren't empty. My family has three members, my mother, my father and me.  I haven't got any brothers or sisters. I am an only child. Both my parents are teachers in a high school. I go to the Experimental Pilot Anavrita High school in the first grade of junior high. My favourite sport is basketball. I like the speed and the special motion of the action when I play this sport. Hi! My name is Konstantina Kapouralou. I am 12 years old. I am from Greece. I live in Politia which is a suburb in the north of Athens. My neighbourhood is quiet and it hasn’t got a lot of children. There aren’t any shops or cafes so I am bored there. In my family we are 4 people. My mum, dad and my sister. My sister’s name is Pelagia. She’s three years younger than me and we never fight. I go to Anavrita High School. I am in the first grade. I like my new school very much. All the children are nice and friendly and the teachers are fantastic!!!!!!!!!

My favourite sport is swimming. I like it because I have fun with it. Also, swimming keeps me fit.

In my free time I go swimming, I play computer games and I listen to music.
