Informative Speeches

Looking forward to this week's Informative Speeches... I'm sure you'll all be naturals!

A few words of advice:

• Take slow deep breaths before you start to speak.
• Work hard on your introduction. Remember to "hook" your audience.
• Don’t be afraid of what will happen if you make a mistake.
•  Don’t be monotonous. Keep eye contact.
• Don't speak too loudly or too softly.

• Don't speak too fast or too slowly. 

• Don't move around too much - it shows your nervousness.

Debating!!!

Congratulations to A1, A2 and A3 on conducting their debates in such a "professional" manner!

For A1: Video Games ... winners are the Negative side (the boys managed to persuade us that video games are not such a good idea!) Great work on both sides ... judges very responsible!

For A2: Teachers are not needed in schools.... and the winner is ... the Negative side. We were definitely convinced that teachers are still useful in the classroom (thank God ... for me!!!) Both teams were very persuasive but unfortunately there is only one winner. By the way a very special thanks to Mrs Mitchell's students for participating!
For A3: Video Games (again) once more we were persuaded that video games can be destructive! Great work on both sides (boys and girls). Judges very meticulous and took their job very seriously! Well done!
